So,if no Mulu, next think of the Nyiah Caves. This needs at least one full day to appreciate the effort given.
There was no time to visit the Nyiah Caves since you need to go in the morning for a whole day tour. If not it is not worth the trouble of going there and walking in for a further 45 minutes.
So no Nyiah, no Mulu, what to do next? There are a few places to go to in Miri.
The photos taken below are three of them.
First, the Taman Awam of Miri. There is a suspended bridge at the park, nicely well kept, and the most beautiful of it, it is free, no entrance fee is needed.
The hanging bridge
More than a section of the bridge
Nice, right?
Next stop will be the Petronas Museum in town to see the Grand Old Lady. Thought that this must be really a lady statue or what. But then, it is the first oil well in Miri. A replica of it placed at the entrance of the museum.
Some of the rocks that Geology students dig for and scrutinise during University days...haha..
Some of the nice exhibits inside on the oil industry
Dreaming, took an aerial view of Miri, from inside the musuem.
There is a main exhibition hall where there are exhibits on how and what people do for beauty, in the olden days and now, somewhere on our planet earth.
Some looks like we have to endure some kind of pain to gain the beauty.

See what I mean??
Some of the accessories for limbs and neck and ears too.
The last and third place was the latest fad in Miri, the Marina Bay. This place will be well lit up at night for revellers,

And lastly, some of the things one can buy in Miri, to remind you of the place.
Have a nice day, frens.
